the vice-chancellorship of Academics and Graduate Studies

Introduction to the vice-chancellorship of Academics and Graduate Studies

The office of academics and graduate studies started its activities in 1990 with the goal of improving the level of knowledge of committed expert women in the two fields of study: “Theology and Islamic Studies” and “Arabic Literature”. According to the enactment of 2000, with the changes in the course plan, the field of study “theology and Islamic studies” changed into the two fields of study: “Jurisprudence and Law” and “Philosophy and Theology”. Because of the necessity of studying the humanities and also the need for presence of women in judicial positions and as legal advices, the field of law started its activities in 1996 and evolved with the establishment of family law orientation (2007). For accomplishing these goals, it was necessary to engage in educational debates and acquire familiarity with scientific fields related to educational processes. Consequently, the program entitled Islamic Studies and Education was planned in 2005 and started after obtaining permits. This field continued in master’s degree of Educational Management from 2004 and later on in PhD of Educational Management from 2013.
