Campus at a Glance

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) University is a non-governmental Islamic university in the higher education system of the country, based on Islamic principles and values.

Linking the two educational systems of the hawzah and the university was one of the ideals of the Islamic Revolution. This value was realized with the establishment of Imam Sadiq (PBUH) University in 1361, under the chairmanship of the sincere companion of Imam (RA), Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani, by obtaining permission from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. This university believes that teaching and learning along with refining the self is the most important mission of man. Therefore, with the link between hawzah and the university and the cooperation of the elites of these two scientific centers, it educates graduates who are religious, aware and committed to the ideals and values of Islam and provides a role model in the higher education system and the administration of Islamic society.

Considering the importance of women's presence in various social fields, it was necessary to establish a university for training committed expert females in the field of humanities and Islamic sciences. Therefore, eight years after the establishment of Imam Sadiq (PBUH) University, and in 1369 the women’s campus was established with the chancellorship of Ms. Mahdavi Kani (Ghodsieh Sorkhei) to educate and empower young women as lecturers, researchers and missionaries. Since that year, the women’s campus with its scientific and administrative staff consisting of educated women has been working non-stop to serve the youth eager to acquire knowledge.
