Special Program for Student Day: Fighting Oppression, Seeking Freedom, and Pursuing Justice
Organized by the Student Association and Clubs of Imam Sadiq University (PBUH) – Women's Campus, a special program to commemorate Student Day under the theme of Fighting Oppression, Seeking Freedom, and Pursuing Justice was held on Monday, December 2, at the Unknown Martyrs Hall of the Women's Campus. The event featured the presence of Dr. Asghar Eftekhari, President of Imam Sadiq University (PBUH), along with the head of the Women's Campus, professors, staff, managers, and most importantly, the dear students of the campus.
The program included showing video clips featuring valuable advice from the university's spiritual father, the late Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani, directed at the students. Additionally, active students in the Student-Cultural Affairs were honored with certifications and gifts. The event continued with a performance by students' self-defense team, showcasing martial arts moves. Following this, one of the campus students recited humorous poems composed by the students.
Dr. Eftekhari, in his speech, congratulated everyone on Student Day and honored the memory of the esteemed Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani (may he rest in peace). He expressed his gratitude to the campus officials, professors, and active students of the Women's Campus.
He then addressed the students' questions and concerns, focusing on the university's general policies. He discussed the development of Islamic humanities through the academic programs at different levels, the allocation of budgets, specifically for student cultural activities, and the importance of university space and dormitory standards. He also covered the existing limitations and ways to overcome them.
In conclusion, the President of Imam Sadiq University (PBUH) reminded everyone of the tireless efforts of the university's previous officials, who devoted their lives to growing and flourishing this institution and its students. He emphasized: "Now, it is our turn and our responsibility to serve the university and its students, to create the necessary opportunities for the growth of students and the future leaders of our Islamic homeland."
